From idea to manuscript to bookshelf…

A relaxed and friendly gathering to chat about books and the inspiration behind them.

Alice is happy to share how she made the transition from NHS worker to full-time author, how she gets her inspiration and the process of turning those ideas in to a manuscript for publication.

Whether you are an avid reader who loves knowing how books come into being or a writer who would like to hear more about the technical process, why not come along? All welcome. Bring questions.

Come and hear about the Alice’s journey to make her dream to be a writer come true.

Alice May is a multi-tasking mother with four not-so-small children. She is fortunate enough to be married to (probably) the most patient man on the planet and they live in, what used to be, a ramshackle old cottage in the New Forest.

As a child, Alice dreamed of being a writer. Instead she ended up working for the NHS for twenty years. Eventually, she realised that life was too short not to following her dreams and began switching careers to become a full-time writer. She gains inspiration from the New Forest and loves to set her stories there. The Mid-life Trials of Annabeth Hope is Alice's debut novel.

The Mid-life Trials of Annabeth Hope. A book about Family, Hope, Llamas and Love. What more could you want?
