Art is a great way to relax, unwind, develop skills and interests, meet and engage with likeminded people. Each week you will explore a new activity in relation to art and mindfulness and create a portfolio of work that demonstrates your experiences within this course. You will be able to use the mindful elements and artwork to continue on your personal creative wellbeing journey.
- Apply doodling and mark making
- Understand (and be able to describe) tone, line & texture
- Learn how to use watercolour paint and create different effects
- Learn how to combine different media and techniques
- Be able to incorporate art and mindfulness into your life
Who is this course for: This course is aimed at anyone who would like to experience art as a way of focussing on mindfulness and wellbeing, creating artwork through a range of weekly practical, fun and creative activities, that will also help to develop confidence within art and a sense of overall wellbeing
Previous Knowledge or Experience: none required
How will I learn: Each week you will develop your work through learning new art media and mindfulness techniques
What shall I bring: Materials, tools and equipment will be provided for the course fee of £10.00. However, feel free to bring your own to use in addition, if you wish (Drawing pencil set, willow charcoal, charcoal pencils, coloured or watercolour pencils, watercolours, waterproof ink pen)
