Ballet Fitness with Rachael

Tuesday 14th, 21st, 28th January, 4th and 11th February 2025
5.30pm to 6.15pm
This is an online course using Zoom.
Ballet Fitness is highly effective in sculpting, toning and lengthening and defining the muscles of the body. This Ballet inspired class will also help achieve grace, alignment and posture and a deep sense of well-being.
Learning Goals:
- Perform Ballet inspired strength exercises for the lower body at the barre
- Perform Ballet inspired routines in the centre to demonstrate co-ordination, musicality, rhythm and balance
- Perform Ballet inspired stretches at the barre and in the centre to demonstrate flexibility
- Define Ballet terminology and describe the benefits of Ballet Fitness on Well-being
Who is this course for: This course is for anyone looking to improve their cardiovascular fitness, muscle tone, flexibility and posture and alignment in an enjoyable class to inspiring music from the charts, musicals and to classical music
Previous Knowledge or Experience: Beginners are welcome. This course is appropriate for both men and women and no previous experience is required
How will I learn: You will learn by following the tutor performing exercises at the barre and in the centre that are inspired by the principles of Ballet training. A guide for beginners will be provided and learners can work at their own level
How will I be assessed: There is no formal assessment for this course. This is a Ballet inspired fun fitness session. We will discuss your performance alongside the course goals at the end of the course
What shall I bring: You will need a chair to use as a barre. Bare feet, socks or Ballet shoes can be worn
