Be Calm and Confident

To develop emotional empowerment and offer a range of relaxation and mindfulness tools to help you reduce your stress levels and feel calm and confident.
- Identify 4 parts of our nervous system and how they control our emotions and anxiety
- List at least 3 benefits of using a daily gratitude/ positive affirmation practice to boost self-esteem and well-being
- Practice at least 4 different mindful, meditation and relaxation tools to help reduce stress and anxiety
- Create your own tool kit of relaxation and mindful activities to use in everyday life based upon the Just Relax 7 Steps
Who is this course for: This course is for adults who want to better understand their emotions and develop tools to help them feel calm and confident in everyday life
Previous knowledge or experience: None required
How will I learn: Each session will cover a different theme - Emotions and Anxiety, Worry, Self-esteem and Empowerment - and you will be emailed handouts and resources before each session. During the sessions we will discuss the theme and then I will introduce different relaxation and mindfulness tools for us to practice together
How will I be assessed: Tutor observation, learner participation, worksheets and a mood score tool
What shall I bring: You will need to dress comfortably and have a space where you can move and lay down or sit comfortably for the visualisation (you may want a mat/cushion, blanket) Also have some drinking water nearby and bring a notepad and pen. Other resources will be needed and the tutor will let you know before each session
