Beginners Origami: Fold Your Way to Wellness

To develop origami skills while promoting well-being in relaxing and interactive class. To learn the fundamental folds and techniques. To create useful, decorative and fun models like flowers, boxes, organisers, modular and action models. To improve creative thinking skills and self-expression.

Learning Goals:

  • Recognise at least Three Basic Folds
  • Identify Four Bases
  • Identify Five Diagram Symbols
  • Create at least five Origami Models
  • Create one Modular Model

About the course: This beginner’s origami course helps you relax, focus, and feel good through the calming art of paper folding. You’ll learn easy techniques to make beautiful shapes, while also improving your concentration and patience. The course is a chance to be creative, build confidence, and enjoy a peaceful activity in a small, friendly
group

Who is this course for: Anyone who would like to learn about the magical art of paper folding and explore its infinite possibilities

Previous knowledge or experience: None required

How will I learn: Participants will be given oral and visual instructions and have hands-on experience of folding models during the sessions

How will I be assessed: Tutor observation and individual work.

What shall I bring: Please bring £5 for materials payable to the tutor at the first session to include all materials required for the course. Please also bring a pad and pen.
