In the years since, the camps have largely been forgotten, overgrown by woodland and increasingly threatened by modern development. As part of the Hampshire’s Hidden D-Day project led by The D-Day Story, 23 camps between Emsworth and Brockenhurst were surveyed, recording new archaeological findings. In this talk, Dr Marter explores some examples of what remains, reflects on the potential of the information collected and the D-Day heritage legacy.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDr Phil Marter specialises in the archaeology and heritage of conflict with particular focus on the archaeology of WWII.
