English for Speakers of Other Languages (Improvers - Term 2)

To develop learners spoken English. To read and discuss texts to show comprehension and to extend written skills.
- Participate in oral discussions, giving opinions on a variety of topics
- Use subject specific vocabulary during discussions
- Read and discuss details texts to demonstrate understanding
- Show understanding of the use of various grammar strategies in both oral and written work
About the Course: An opportunity to improve your English in a small group setting
Who is this course for: This course is for learners who wish to improve their language skills
Previous Knowledge or Experience: Learners should be able to speak and understand some English
How will I learn: Learning will be through differentiated activities according to level of understanding
How will I be assessed: informal observation and assessment by the tutor
What shall I bring: please bring a notebook and pen
