To introduce you to elements of yoga, breathwork and meditation. We will focus on different aspects of connection each week, through gentle movement and relaxation exercises.
- Demonstrate one gentle yoga flow sequence to display increased range of movement.
- Describe and demonstrate how you use your breath to aid movement/relaxation.
- Describe and perform 3 yoga poses that you can practice at home
- Describe the impact of yoga on wellbeing
Who is this course for: This course is for anyone who is interested in the basics and benefits of yoga. Through a gentle flow, we will connect to our breath, our mind and our bodies. Each week, we will focus on different aspect of connection, highlighting the core of a yoga practice
Previous knowledge or experience: No experience necessary
How will I learn: through tutor demonstration, cues and feedback
How will I be assessed: tutor feedback and self-assessment (increased flexibility, more awareness of the breath, a development of personal practice
What shall I bring: Yoga/exercise mat. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will need to bring a bottle of water

Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
