Get to Know Your Sewing Machine
Ashley Baptist Church – New Milton
Tuesday 20th, 27th September, 4th, 11th and 18th October 2022
9.30am to 11.30am
Learn the basic operation of your sewing machine, learn about the different needles, feet and tension. You will also learn and practise all the stitches your machine can do.
- Describe the basics of your sewing machine, threading the needle and tension of the stitches
- Identify the different utility stitches and machine feet
- Sew a sampler of all the stitches your machine can do, explore how to change the sizes of stitches
- Apply your new knowledge to produce a simple project
About the Course: On this course you will learn to understand how your Sewing machine works, threading the needle, how to adapt the tension of your machine, explore the utility stitches and make a simple project.
Who is this course for: Anyone who would like to explore how to use their sewing machine
Previous Knowledge or Experience: none required
How will I learn: observation, class discussion and practical projects
How will I be assessed: observation and work product
What shall I bring: materials list provided, please bring a note book and pen
