Heritage Crafts Workshop: Traditional Corn Dolly Making at Manor Farm

10.00am to 3.00pm (with break for lunch)

Join the wonderful Sally Murdoch for this creative workshop, where you will learn several basic weaves to get the feel for working with the straw. You will then make a few different pieces. As you weave, Sally will teach about the fascinating history of corn dollies. By the end of this workshop, you will have at least two or three finished corn dollies to take home. Decorations such as ribbons and charms will be provided for each piece. This creative and relaxing workshop will take place from 10-3 with a break for lunch (please bring a packed lunch), and includes all materials.

This workshop is intended for adults, but suitable for ages 14+. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by adult - both parties will need to purchase tickets for workshop. This delightful craft is relaxing and creative, and would best suit learners with good manual dexterity and patience.

Ticket price of £60 includes full day's tuition and expertise, all materials and use of tools, hot drinks and a slice of homemade cake. Included in your ticket is also free parking and entrance to Manor Farm (open 10-5). Please bring a packed lunch.
