This is an online course using Zoom.

Aims of The Course: This course aims to help you to start speaking Italian in order to get more from your visit to a Italian speaking country.   You will learn and practise some of the language needed to deal with day-to-day situations and gain confidence in understanding what is being said to you.

  • Greet people and start a conversation
  • Understand numbers and able to write telephone numbers and addresses when told verbally
  • Hold a basic conversation getting to know someone and talking about your life including family, job and home

Learning will happen online in a relaxed atmosphere. Your local library will have books available to borrow to support this course.

No previous knowledge or experience is required

Make sure you have a pen and paper with you to take notes.

This Course could lead to:

  • Italian for Beginners 2 and 3 through Learning in Libraries or enrolment at a local FE college for a longer course
  • Library staff can advise on local Italian language groups/the support they can give in establishing such a group
  • Other Language courses

    This course is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+ Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
