To give you fun tools and stimulating activities to enhance your child’s speech and language development whilst bonding with your child. To learn how to support your child in regulating their feelings and emotions.
- Identify 3 everyday events and activities for communication opportunities
- Demonstrate all 3 techniques to extend your child’s vocabulary
- List at least 3 strategies to demonstrate good listening skills
- Choose 5+ new words to support your child to name their senses and feelings using activities and images (to support their wellbeing)
- Develop these skills by referring to the resources from the course to support your child’s learning at home
About the course: This course is an interactive session where you and your child will do activities to enhance your bond and improve their speech and language development.
Who is this course for: Parents/Carers with a child aged 6 months - 5 years

How will I be assessed: Via feedback and shared discussion
What shall I bring: Yourself and your child (maximum 2 children per adult)
Next steps: Attend the children’s library offer to continue your child’s language development. Baby Play on Friday’s 10-11:30, Rhyme Time on Wednesday’s 10:30-11, Storytime on Saturday’s 11-11:30 and Toddler Time on Monday’s 10:15-11
