Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Friday 25th October 2024
12.00pm to 1.00pm
Join this special author event as part of 'Only Murders in the Library', a crime writing festival at Basingstoke Discovery Centre.
Join crime historian Angela Buckley discussing her book The Bermondsey Murder. This fascinating case offers new insight into the first decades of Scotland Yard and ‘celebrity’ detectives such as Jack Whicher and Charley Field. The true story of a killer couple also inspired Charles Dickens’ Bleak House.
