Meet the Authors: Helen Fields and Jane Corry

Join this special speaker event as part of 'Only Murders in the Library', a crime writing festival at Basingstoke Discovery Centre.
Helen Fields:
Helen Fields is a former criminal and family law barrister. She is a fierce supporter of the independent Bar and of the British justice system. She is a company director of a media production company, and has an absolute passion for film, television and theatre. She lived in California for some years and is happiest walking on deserted beaches early in the morning. Helen is proud to be an active board member of the Society of Authors, representing members of the diverse publishing community. She has three children and is based in West Sussex, but spends a lot of time travelling, and can often be found either in Scotland or the USA. She is the writer of 12 traditionally published and 3 self-published crime novels, and has been called the now Thomas Harris."
Jane Corry:
Jane Corry is a writer and journalist who has spent time working as the writer in residence of a high security prison for men - an experience that helped inspire her Sunday Times bestsellers. Jane runs regular writing workshops and speaks at literary festivals all over the world. Many of her ideas strike during morning dog-jogs along the beach followed by a dip in the sea.
