Nagomi Pastel Art workshops are designed by tutor Zuni to introduce participants to the gentle and therapeutic art form of pastel drawing. These workshops typically focus on using soft pastel colours to create harmonious and soothing artwork, and are suitable for complete beginners and intermediate level.

• Introduction to Techniques: Participants learn basic techniques for using pastel powders and drawing with fingers. This includes understanding how to blend colours and create smooth transitions
• Materials Provided: All necessary materials, such as pastel powders, paper, and tools, are provided12. Participants can take home their completed art pieces
• Step-by-Step Guidance: The workshop usually includes a detailed demonstration of the drawing process, making it easy for beginners to follow along
• Therapeutic Benefits: The process of creating pastel art is known for its calming and therapeutic effects, helping to bring emotional balance and harmony
• Suitable for All Ages: These workshops are designed to be accessible to everyone, from children to seniors, and no prior art experience is required

The sessions are offered for free to all as part of Hampshire Libraries' use of The South East Strategic Partnership for Migration (SESPM) fund.
