The session focuses on practical, easy‑to‑use skills for acting calmly and safely in everyday situations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLearning Goals:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDemonstrate paediatric choking response and basic resuscitation techniques\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRecognise and manage foreign bodies in the eyes, ears, and skin (e.g. splinters)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIdentify and treat different types of burns\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply appropriate first aid for minor bleeding and follow infection control principles\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRecognise and manage bites and stings\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWho is this course for: \u003c\/strong\u003eThis course, funded by UK government, is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ attending the New Parents Meet and Connect looking to develop a stronger sense of community and who have little or no first aid knowledge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note: Eligibility criteria applies and will be checked upon enrolment.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCourse purpose: \u003c\/strong\u003eTo develop stronger communities\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note: \u003c\/strong\u003eThis workshop is suitable for non-mobile babies only. Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners.
