It creates an inclusive space where adults from different backgrounds can connect, build relationships, and develop a sense of belonging. By learning and playing music together, participants will build confidence, strengthen social connections, and help create a more supportive and connected community.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eDevelop the ability to play a minimum of four basic chords and perform them in time as part of a group, demonstrated through tutor observation during group activities\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eDemonstrate strumming in both 4\/4 and 3\/4 time while playing alongside others, with at least 90% of learners showing coordinated group participation\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eParticipate in at least one group performance or shared play-along, contributing to a collaborative musical activity with peers\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003ePlay at least four basic chords in time with others during group activities, as observed by the tutor\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eStrengthen rhythm and timing ski ls by playing along to simple songs in a range of styles, showing consistent improvement in keeping time with the group\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the course: \u003c\/strong\u003eResearch shows music helps bring people together and build connections. The chord fingerings of the ukulele are like those used on the guitar but much easier to manage, so this course could also be seen as a step towards playing the guitar\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAttendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners.
