Are your children finding it harder to manage their emotions and develop positive relationships since the pandemic?

Run by the Advisory Team for Early Years settings, this half day course will support delegates to understand how to form positive attachments and develop children’s self-regulation skills. Through training input and activities, we will explore the importance of attachment, self-regulation, co-regulation and how to actively teach children ways to manage their emotions and develop a positive sense of self; all skills which are vital in children’s emotional development, which may have been impacted by the pandemic.

This training will support you to:

Develop a deeper understanding of the importance of forming positive attachments in the Early Years.
Explore the crucial role of the adults in modelling, coaching and scaffolding to support children to understand and regulate their emotions.
Discover how young children may demonstrate their needs through physical cues and effective ways to respond to these.
