Learners will be able to recognise trustworthy websites, understand how to protect their personal information and check whether their online accounts have been compromised. This FREE workshop is aimed at adults who would like to further develop their digital skills in a small, supportive group with guidance from an experienced tutor with almost 20 years as a cyber security expert.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLearning Goals:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIdentify secure websites and sites that take security of your information seriously.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnderstand password security, and describe 2 ways how to improve your passwords\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnderstand how different payment methods affect your online safety and your chances of getting your money back if something goes wrong.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRecognise common elements to phishing attacks and scams\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eName at least 2 strategies to protect personal information.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the course:\u003c\/strong\u003e This workshop will support learners to be vigilant about their online activities and know what to do when things go wrong.
