To acquire the skills required to create a framed piece of wall art or scrapbook pages that will preserve memories for years to come. Scrapbooking makes you reflect and remember happy times in your life, having a positive impact on your mental health and wellbeing.

  • Describe how scrapbooking benefits your mental health and wellbeing
  • Identify colours that co-ordinate to create a pleasing aesthetic
  • Use journalling to add captions and longer descriptions to your work 
  • Create an effective layout promoting happy memories
  • Demonstrate how to sort, crop and mount photographs correctly

About the course: Scrapbooking is fun for you create something unique. The pages you make will preserve memories for years for years to come and will be treasured by you and future generations Looking at photographs that recall happy times and sharing them with others brings a sense of wellbeing. Hopefully the skills you learn on this course will inspire you to continue the scrapbooking journey or give you the confidence to apply what you have learnt to other paper crafting projects

Who is this course for: Anyone who wants to learn how to preserve memories by using photographs, memorabilia, and journaling to create wall art or scrapbook pages

Previous knowledge or experience: None required

How will I learn: Tutor demonstration and guidance, group discussion and a range of practical tasks

How will I be assessed: Through completion of activities and tutor observation

What shall I bring: Lots of photographs (this will make selection of those suitable for scrapbooking easier). £10.00 payable to the tutor at the first session, to cover the cost of papers, embellishments and everything else you will need to create your scrapbook pages or wall art

Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
