In a friendly and supportive environment, learners will take part in creative activities that promote relaxation, reduce stress and build confidence. While developing sewing skills such as appliqué, embroidery and machine sewing, learners will create personal projects that encourage a sense of achievement.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLearning Goals:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDemonstrate the ability to safely use a sewing machine and identify different stitch types.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUse a range of haberdashery and recycled fabrics creatively in your own textile piece.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eExplain and apply the process of appliqué using bondaweb.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIdentify simple strategies to manage stress and support self-care through creative practice.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWho is this course for: \u003c\/strong\u003eThis course, funded by UK government, is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ who are looking to improve their health and wellbeing through sewing and textile crafts.
