The purchase of products from the Hampshire County Council Online Shop is governed by these terms and conditions. By using our ordering service you are agreeing to be bound by them.
Ordering
Please follow the instructions on our online shopping page when placing your order. Please note that the billing name and address on your order must be that of the person making payment.
To help us to ensure that your goods are delivered correctly, please provide us with accurate information, including a contact telephone number in case we need to check something with you. We cannot be held responsible for any losses that result from a failure to provide accurate details.
Amendments
Subject to any rights you have under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, we cannot accept amendments to your order unless these are made before dispatch on the next working day after your order has been placed. Contact us via the phone number or email address at the bottom of the page.
Prices
We only accept payment in pounds sterling.
The prices displayed in the Hampshire County Council Online Shop at the time of ordering will be the prices that you will be charged. Where applicable, they will be inclusive of VAT.
VAT
Goods supplied within the UK are liable for VAT, where applicable.

Payment and Security
Payment must be made through the Hampshire County Council Online Shop. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Google, Apple and Shop payments and full payment will be taken at the time you place your order. Failure to provide correct payment details may result in a delay to the processing of your order.
You can shop with confidence because payments are taken through Shopify Payments.
We will not pass on your personal details to any other organisation.
Shopify Terms of Service - Shopify UK
To enable you to make online payments, please contact your card issuer directly to ensure that your details are correct and up to date. This should enable you to transact online and minimise the failure of or delays with any of your online transactions.
In the event of an online payment failing, you should contact your card issuer in the first instance, and you may need to pay by an alternative method.
Delivery
For postage items we aim to dispatch all orders within one to three working days. If we are out of stock we will let you know as soon as possible and let you decide whether you want us to hold the order for later fulfilment.
UK orders are normally dispatched via Royal Mail. Please allow 7 working days for delivery. Orders dispatched to other countries may take longer.
If items are required urgently we have a collection point in central Winchester where goods can be collected. If you require this service please select alternative shipping method – personal collection when placing your order and give us 2 working days notice. Please note that there will still be a packing charge of 50p for collected orders to cover our costs in getting goods to the collection point - need to get FM agreement for this.
In the unlikely event that any products are damaged or a shortage to that of the order is delivered, you must contact us as soon as possible and in any event within 7 days of delivery. Where products are damaged, the damaged products and their packaging must be preserved. Failure to do so may otherwise result in us disclaiming liability for damage.
In the unlikely event that your order is not delivered, you must contact within 14 working days of dispatch of the products.
Ownership of the Products
Ownership of the products will pass to you upon delivery whereupon all risks of accidental loss or damage will pass to you.
Cancellation and Returns
We want you to be happy with the products you order from us. However, in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your order, you must contact us as soon as possible and in any event within 7 days of delivery.
Except in the case of perishable goods and products that have been personalised to your instructions, you have the right to cancel your order by sending us notification of your intention to cancel and returning the products to us within 7 working days of delivery. Please state the reason for cancellation.
You will be responsible for the cost of returning the products to us, or the cost of us recovering them, if you cancel your order in accordance with this these terms and conditions.
Limitation of Liability
We shall not in any circumstances be liable to you for any injury, damage or loss involving any person, property or interest howsoever suffered by you in direct connection with the products.
We shall not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential damage, (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with any order.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit the liability of either you or us in respect of (a) fraud, (b) death or personal injury caused by either party's negligence or that of its servants or agents, or (c) in relation to any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Events outside our control
We will have no liability to you if we are delayed in performing or are unable to perform our obligations to you due to any event outside our control, including but not limited to acts of God, acts of government and legislation enacted by any government.
Third Parties
The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to these terms and conditions.
Law
English law will apply to all orders for the sale of products by us to you and English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of any dispute.
