Join Dawn Handy for a new workshop to Minstead Study Centre, Andamento: Learn how to make a unique mosaic art piece, inspired roman andamento designs, with a twist - we will be using contemporary materials instead of traditional tesserae you’ll make a mosaic measuring about 30cm square or round.

All safety equipment and materials are included.

No refunds are given unless the course doesn’t fill up and we need to cancel it.

Tea and Coffee is provided.

ARTISTS STATEMENT:

Dawn Handy’s original art background is from Cape Town, South Africa, consisted of formal training in a school in graphic art. She’s been an artist and art tutor since the 1990s. Dawn is passionate about sustainable art and making art accessible to all.

Dawn primarily works with recycled materials, such as: crockery, tiles, found objects, beads, glass, mirrors - mainly items that are discarded or broken. Dawn’s ethos is that most things can be repurposed. 

Her work has been exhibited extensively over the years and has appeared on the BBC and multiple publications, primarily across South West England.  She is also a member of the South West Mosaic Artists and the Yeovil Creatives.
