Develop Your Painting Style: Watercolours for Improvers

Yateley Library

Saturday 18th, 25th January, 1st and 8th February 2025

10.00am to 12.00pm

This course is for those who have a little bit of experience in watercolour to explore
different aspects of using the medium. We will explore a different subject each week (including plants, animals and buildings or landscape). Through a variety of techniques, you will consolidate your existing knowledge to compose and paint pictures confidently.

Learn to relax using this beautiful medium to capture the world around you as you develop your painting ‘voice’.

Learning Goals:

  • Apply the use of basic watercolour techniques from previous learning
  • Use at least 3 different watercolour techniques (including pen and wash, using texture, applying paint loosely) to demonstrate different styles
  • Describe a subject and style combination that suits you to help develop your painting ‘voice’
  • Describe the benefits of watercolour as a means of mindful relaxation
