Get Ready for School

Tuesday 18th, 25th June, 2nd, 9th and 16th July 2024

7.00pm to 8.30pm

To give you the tools and confidence to help your child become ready for school. Suitable for parents/carers of children age 3-5.

  • Identify at least four features of school readiness
  • Describe three ways you can help your child be ready for school
  • Identify at least two ways to support your child with change
  • Use a new literacy and a numeracy activity to support your child’s development
  • Plan how to support your child as they get ready to begin school

    Who is this course for: Parents/ carers who want to support a child who is starting school

    Previous knowledge or experience: None required

    How will I learn: By discussions and teaching from your tutor

    How will I be assessed: Informal assessment through task completion and self-assessment

    What shall I bring: Please bring a notebook and pen
