This is a fun, mixed media workshop combining drawing, painting and collaging techniques. It aims to build confidence with pattern, colour and assembly. Taking inspiration from contemporary British designer Kitty McCall, we will create a vibrant botanical bell jar artwork.

  • Select a range of contrasting papers and arrange them to plan an engaging composition
  • Layer pattern, texture and colour using mark making tools, stencils and acrylic paint
  • Balance colour
  • Challenge composition by working within a bell jar format
  • Create a unique, original piece of 2d artwork to take home
  • Demonstrate an individual approach
