To consider ways of managing stress and to build a destress workbox.
Learning Goals:
- Describe the positive and negative impact of stress
- Complete a bio-feedback form to assess your stress levels
- Practice at least 5 different types mindfulness and guided meditation techniques
- Participate in laughter yoga and therapeutic singing
- Produce your own destress workbox to help you handle stress
About the course: Learn how to manage your stress through a series of activities to build up your very own 'stress box '. A practical handy box of tools to dip into whenever you feel stressed out
Who is this course for: People interested in finding out about how to handle stress
Previous knowledge or experience: None required
How will I learn: through a series of practical activities and exercises
How will I be assessed: by completing a bio-feedback self-assessment
What shall I bring: Pen and paper, Wear loose clothing
Next steps: Attendance at meditation or mindfulness courses or perhaps yoga classes to help you feel relaxed and calm
Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
