To learn different basic folding techniques and create a contemporary Origami Wall Art while enjoying the benefits of Origami on well-being.

  • Describe the concept of Origami Wall Art and independently create one
  • Identify at least five basic folding techniques
  • Create at least five origami models including Heart, Butterfly, Flower, Cube and a Polygon
  • Demonstrate confidence in displaying models in different display styles

About the course: In this course you will learn the stunning art of origami, learn different folding techniques, explore diverse styles to create a unique Wall Art and discover the joy of decorating your space with personalised handmade 3-dimensional masterpiece! Indulge yourself in the creative process of crafting beautiful art piece

Who is this course for: Anyone who would like to learn about this magical art of paper folding, explore its infinite possibilities

Previous knowledge or experience: None required

How will I learn: You will be given instructions and have hands-on experience of folding models during the sessions

How will I be assessed: Tutor observation and individual work

What shall I bring: Origami paper, ideally 15cm squares, a few A4 sheets (computer printer paper) and a box to put your finished models in. A base sheet for the Wall Art, pencil, eraser, glue and scale

If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:

  • 5 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
  • No refunds will normally be made if a learner withdraws from a course less than 4 working days before the start of the course
