EYFS The Wonder Years for Childminders - an insight into the progression of children’s play - Virtual via MS Teams 

Thursdays 6th March and 27th March 2025, 6.30pm to 8.00pm, Virtual via MS Teams

Book a place on The Wonder Years for Childminders taking place in March 2025 and get access to one of our popular Baby and Toddler eLearning - free of charge!

On participating in The Wonder Years course, all eligible delegates will be given the opportunity to book their free eLearning.

(Access to the free eLearning will be granted within 5 working days and will last for 6 weeks from point of issue.)

This 3-hour virtual course is delivered over two twilight sessions and examines the progression of social interaction and children’s play. The two sessions will support delegates to gain a deeper understanding of aspects of child development and the range of resources and activities that will support learning and development of babies and young children from birth to five. There will be opportunities to reflect on the use of Treasure Baskets for babies, Heuristic Play for toddlers and Loose Parts for all.   

Delegates will:
• Explore the progression of social interactions and children’s play in the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Gain a deeper understanding of the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning
• Consider elements of an enabling environment for babies and children from birth to five
• Reflect on the role of the adult in planning rich play experiences for the unique child.

NOTE FOR HAMPSHIRE SCHOOLS – please be aware that Hampshire schools must pay for training using IBC Internal Trading, so are unable to use this Shop.

Hampshire schools should submit this online booking request to book a place, remembering to include their cost centre, GL code and contact details for the person dealing with finance or IBC internal trading.

This will allow SfYC to take payment direct from your cost centre via Journal.

(Academies and independent schools are able to use payment cards)

Academies and Independent schools will be charged a 15% surcharge on top of the standard cost. All schools, settings and other organisations from outside of Hampshire will also be charged this 15% surcharge.

If a member of the SfYC team needs to travel outside of the county to deliver training, expenses/mileage may be charged from the Hampshire border. Price on application.
