Water & Colour for Wellbeing

Friday 28th February, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th March 2025
12.30pm to 2.30pm
Participants will be required to use Zoom.
For beginners an introduction to painting with water-based techniques, for those with a little more experience, the possibility of expanding their knowledge and explore these techniques further.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge on different water-based techniques
- Identify different techniques and their versatility
- Apply the proposed techniques confidently
- Create at least 2 different pieces /paintings using the knowledge acquired during the course
Who is this course for: This ONLINE course is for anyone who would like to learn the basics on the suggested techniques or expand on your current knowledge in a fun, safe and friendly atmosphere
Previous Knowledge or Experience: No experience necessary, just bags of enthusiasm, embrace happy mistakes and the “trial & error” technique. The tutor will prepare different exercises during the course, you will receive a photograph to work from and sometimes an example of other artist’s work (with some connection with the proposed activity) will be shared before or during the session. Each exercise is normally 2 sessions long although this can vary. During the course learners can also propose a different technique or subject to the ones proposed by the tutor.
How will I learn: observation and demonstration and feedback.
How will I be assessed: The tutor will send you a few questions to get an idea of your experience with the different techniques proposed for the course before it starts.
A WhatsApp group will be created for this course to enable exchange of images during the sessions. You are more than welcome to use this chat to get feedback during and between sessions.
During the sessions the tutor will give feedback and share everyone’s work, this will enable you to see how other people has used the same technique and subject as you but in a completely different way which is important!
You will receive continuous constructive criticism and advise during the course regarding your work, materials and artists for reference.

If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:
- 5 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
