This 1 day course combines theory and practical elements to support Clinical staff to identify types of wounds and appropriate care planning & dressing selection to support wound healing. The course also covers identification of Pressure Ulcers & Moisture damage, the causes and management of these wounds according to their category and location. The course aims to enable participants to manage basic wounds guided by the Southern Health Wound Formulary.

The NMC standards require Nurses to practice effectively & take responsibility for continual learning.
