Angling permit - Day

All anglers on the Canal are required to have an Environment Agency rod licence and a fishing permit issued by the Basingstoke Canal Authority.

The Canal is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and “close season” applies 15 March to 15 June where no fishing is permitted to allow fish spawning inclusive, for the entirety of the whole Canal.

Your permit will be sent to you by email. When fishing on the Canal please bring the permit with you, along with a photo ID (such as a photocard driving licence) and a valid Environment Agency rod licence.
