10.00am to 3.00pm

This activity will run from 10:00-15:00 and is suitable for 16+ (no upper limit but please be aware that there will be some element of physical work). You will have the opportunity to gain valuable practical learning whilst gaining some entry level AQA qualifications. If you are looking to improve your animal skills, learn new skills or you are looking to have a taste of working in the animal care industry, these taster sessions are for you. If you would like to attend and not gain a AQA then we can accommodate this.

Please meet at the Farm Shop five minutes before the session start time and your activity leader will meet you there. Please have your confirmation booking email ready to show and a printed version of the form sent out in the confirmation emails.

You will be provided with overalls to wear which is essential for biosecurity reasons so please ensure you understand this before attending. Please dress appropriately for the weather so if hot, light clothes for underneath the overalls and hat and sun cream or if raining, please bring waterproofs as we will be outside regardless of weather. We do not provide shoes so please ensure you are wearing wellie boots or appropriate walking shoes. Please no open toed shoes. We will stop for a drink and a break at 11.15-11.30 and for lunch at 1.00-1.30. Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle for the day.

Admin Fee

£50 Per Session + £25 one off admin fee* for certification (only payable if AQA award is required or achieved)

£25 admin fee is removed if all 5 sessions are booked If you do not require a certification in AQA this £25 fee is not charged

Admin fee goes to AQA not Staunton Farm.

Admin fee is payable after the session and completion of assessment.

If the admin fee is not received, then the certificates will not be processed or sent out.

AQA award certificates will be sent after the final session.

£25 admin fee is only charged once, if all 5 sessions are booked at once the £25 admin fee is removed.

Additional Information:

Meet at the Farm Shop, where you will be met and supervised by a member of the education team. You will be required to fill out an online T&C form regarding behaviour and will also be required to fill in and return a form containing an emergency contact which the activity leader will keep.

Please Park in the main car park. You get 20 minutes free parking, so plenty if just dropping off and leaving site again. If you are longer than 20 minutes, please put your vehicle registration in the tablets in the visitor centre to receive free parking.

If you do not behave in accordance with our rules and regulations, you will be asked to leave the session.

Please note this ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable. This ticket is not for resale.

All bookings will receive a form which must be completed prior to session start date.

All information held by Staunton will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act and will not be shared with any third parties.
