Atmospheric Beachscapes Workshop

10.00am to 2.00pm
Join local artist and educator for a gentle introduction into painting a vibrant beachscape.
We will explore composition, colour mixing and mark making using acrylics. You could take home a painting that will give you forever memories of happy beach days.
Learning Goals:
- Plan an engaging composition
- Mix secondary and tertiary colour effectively
- Apply a range of mark making tools
Who is this course for: Suitable for beginners, improvers, landscape enthusiasts and artists wishing to explore acrylic as a medium
Previous knowledge or experience: None necessary
How will I learn: We offer a supportive learning environment. The tutor will demo and guide you through the activity at a steady pace. The group size enables differentiation and bespoke guidance. Discussion, peer to peer feedback and Q&A are encouraged.
How will I be assessed: We will review progress at different points throughout the workshop and against your own individual learning objectives.
What shall I bring: A set of acrylic paints, a brush pack, an apron/wear old comfortable clothes, £3.00 materials money to be paid to the tutor. This will cover the cost of paper and a canvas board
Next steps: This course can lead to other courses within Learning In Libraries. You might also want to join a local art club such as Oakridge West or Tadley & Baughurst Art club
If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:
• 5 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
This course is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+ Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
