Autumn Abundance: An Acrylic Painting Workshop

An opportunity to apply your observational skills and creatively describe the colours and
textures of Autumn of from life

Learning Goals:

• Describe how you planned an engaging composition.
• Identify which objects to focus in on.
• Use initial sketching and mood boarding to plan your final piece.
• Apply secondary and tertiary colour to build an autumnal colour palette.
• Create textural variation using a broad selection of mark making tools.
• Demonstrate a unique approach to the brief.

Who is this course for: Acrylic and still life enthusiasts, anyone wanting to push their observational drawing skills 

Previous knowledge or experience: None needed, all abilities will be supported

How will I learn: Visual supports, tutor demonstration and through practical application. Our groups are small ensuring lots of personalised, individual 1:1 support is on hand.

How will I be assessed: Self-assessment, supportive peer to peer evaluation

What shall I bring: Please wear an apron or dress for mess. You will need rough paper for sketching, a canvas board or mixed media paper for final outcome (300gsm), acrylic paints and brushes.

Refund: If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:

• 21 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
• 7 - 20 working days before course starts a £10 admin fee will be charged
• Less than 7 working days before the course starts no refund will be made
