Tuesday 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th June and 7th July 2026

To introduce a calming, mindful activity that helps learners slow down, tap into their creativity, and find relaxation through the gentle, repetitive process of making

Learning Goals:

  • Demonstrate how to use a crochet hook and yarn to perform at least 2 basic stitches including slip stitch and chain stich
  • Produce and combine 4 basic UK crochet stitches and understand where they are used
  • Read and follow beginner-friendly crochet patterns and charts
  • Select suitable yarns, hooks and materials
  • Use crochet as a tool for personal wellbeing

About the course: Crochet has the power to enhance mental wellbeing by nurturing creativity, improving focus, and offering a rewarding sense of accomplishment, while the challenge of learning new stitches and the rhythmic flow of each row create a calming, absorbing experience that supports relaxation and a sense of ease.
