NEW! Early Years Summit 2025 ‘Firm Foundations’

We would like to share an exciting event with you.  

On Tuesday 21 October 2025, we will be hosting our annual Early Years Summit, ‘Firm Foundations’.  Places are limited so please do book soon to avoid disappointment. 

This full day summit will include a morning with Professor Sam Wass, a child psychologist and neuroscientist who is an expert in child concentration and child stress. He leads a research unit which is funded by the European Research Council, based at the University of East London. You might have spotted Prof Wass as the contributing psychologist on ‘The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds’. 

The afternoon will offer a choice of ten different workshops. These workshops will be led by our Keynote Speaker, Advisory Team, Speech and Language Team, Inclusion Team and Primary Behaviour Service.  A taster of workshops on offer will include; 

• The Treasure Trove of Play  

• Take it Outside 

• Fuelling Minds: Cultivating Curiosity in the classroom 

• Nature's Little Artists: Outdoor Creativity Unleashed 

• Maths Moments: Everyday Interactions for Young Learners 

• Understanding the Behaviour (led by the Primary Behaviour Service) 

• A Child’s Voice (led by the Speech and Language team) 

From Wednesday 3 September, you will be able to select a total of two workshops to complete the afternoon. 

During the lunchbreak, you will have the opportunity to peruse the exhibition rooms and will have a designated lunch hall to eat and network. Refreshments will be available, but lunch is not provided.
