Early Years Safeguarding - Designated Safeguarding Lead Training REFRESHER (3hrs) (Webinar) - Monday 3rd November 2025 - 1.00pm

Aimed at Early Years Managers, Supervisors, Committee members, Trustees, Staff and Childminders who have particular Designated Safeguarding responsibilities.

Suitable for existing Designated Safeguarding Leads and Deputies/Assistants, who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills and keep up to date with an evolving safeguarding landscape.   

In a Childminder setting, the Childminder is the DSL.    

Safeguarding is not static. Harms and our understanding of those harms are constantly changing.    

This training content encompasses an evolving national safeguarding lens and Hampshire safeguarding priorities. It revisits Hampshire safeguarding processes and resource as they adapt to a contextual approach safeguarding children, families and communities.     

• 3-hour session
• Delivered over MS Teams by an experienced trainer through Hampshire County Council

This 3-hour course will enable delegates to:

• Understand the scope of the legislative framework which underpins effective practice
• Reflect on the roles and responsibilities of a DSL/DDSL
• Evaluate existing practice. Identify strengths and areas for practice improvement
