10.00am to 12.30pm

This is a fun, mixed media drawing, painting and collage focused workshop that will build confidence with pattern, colour and assembly.

  • Select a range of papers, tear, cut and arrange them to plan an engaging composition
  • Build surface texture and pattern with mark making tools, stencils and areas of acrylic paint
  • Use colour to striking effect
  • Use mod podge adhesive to apply papers and seal our work
  • Explore texture mediums and gels to create painterly effects and surface interest
  • Create a unique, original piece of artwork to take home
  • Demonstrate an individual approach

Who is this course for: Adults looking to expand collage know-how, mixed media enthusiasts, flower lovers and anyone looking for arty fun

Previous knowledge or experience: Beginners and improvers welcome

How will I learn: Rachel will talk you through the various creative stages and explain how to use all the materials on offer. She will show you how you can use the variety of tools and products on offer and will encourage you to be individual in your approach

How will I be assessed: Rachel will be on hand to offer hints and tips and support you every step of the way

What shall I bring: Please bring acrylic paints, brushes, an A4 canvas board (approx.) or mixed media paper, an apron or wear old clothes. Rachel will supply drawing boards, palettes, mark making tools, collage papers and texture gels
