A life well lived is one where we have a strong sense of self, we have positive relationships, and a sense of purpose and meaning. This course will strengthen your sense of self, increase your confidence, improve your connection with yourself and others, and enhance your wellbeing.
Learning Goals:
- Describe the foundations of confidence, including its definition, sources, and methods for achieving it
- Identify and describe at least three personal behaviours or beliefs that support confidence and three that hinder it
- Participate in and reflect on simple activities, such as breathwork or meditation, designed to increase self-care
- Develop a personalised, actionable plan to achieve a specific goal for increasing self-confidence in an identified area of their life
About the course: Gain a knowledge of Positive Psychology interventions for, Self-Compassion, Positive Emotions, Strengths, Happiness and Purpose
Who is this course for: This course, funded by UK government is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ who would like to increase their self-awareness and learn more about themselves. Adults who would like to make positive changes to their thoughts, and behaviour which will enhance their wellbeing.
Previous knowledge or experience: No previous knowledge required. The content is adaptable to all abilities and levels of experience
How will I learn: Each week there will be a different topic related to personal development and positive psychology. The tutor will use presentations, and lead group discussions. There will also be group and individual exercises in the session
How will I be assessed: A self-report questionnaire will be completed at the start and at the end of the course. A weekly check in will highlight the progress made or any difficulties experienced
What shall I bring: A notebook and pen. Handouts will be provided. Refreshments, please bring along a drink and snacks.

This course, funded by Hampshire Achieves, is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+. Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have. If you have limited mobility which could affect your ability to safely self-evacuate, please let us know when booking
