Inclusion Team - Makaton initial taster session - In house training

The Initial Taster training is a 1.5-hour workshop which has been designed to provide some general information about Makaton and how it can develop language and communication skills.

You will be taught a sample of 20 concepts in signs and symbols from the Makaton Core vocabulary, plus an additional 10 concepts relevant to your own environment. There will be practical activities which will help participants to use signs and symbols effectively and introduce Makaton to songs and rhymes. This workshop is just a taster, and it is hoped that participants will go on to access further Makaton training.

We will endeavour to fulfil all requirements for your inhouse training or support requests but ask for at least one month’s notice before your desired training date.

Please ensure you have discussed availability and other arrangements with the relevant Services for Young Children team member prior to making payment. 
Once you have made payment and discussed arrangements with the relevant team member your InHouse training/support is confirmed.

Payment needs to be received no later than 10 days before the date of training/support.
