Session two - Understanding Children's Behaviour: Supporting their Social and Emotional Development In-House Training
This session focuses on how to respond to and support a child’s social emotional and mental health using a range of tools to help identify the communicative function of the behaviour . It will highlight proactive strategies and teaching of new skills through a behaviour plan as part of a positive approach to develop personal social and emotional development.
By the end of this training you will
- Be aware of some tools to analyse children’s behaviour
- Identify the communicative function of behaviour
- Understand and be able to apply proactive strategies in your setting
- Know when and how to respond/react to a child's behaviour
- Be able to create a behaviour plan to support a child's personal, social, and emotional development
