Calling all young adventurers ages 8+ and not currently in full time education! Join us for an exciting and educational Junior Farm Ranger session, where you’ll roll up your sleeves, get hands-on with farm life and learn all about caring for animals. This is a drop-off session designed for children to gain independence, build confidence and connect with nature. Please note, adults will not be able to accompany their child on this activity.
During the session children will have the opportunity to learn through experience by taking part in practical activities around the farm such as feeding the animals, collecting hay and mucking out our animal enclosures. None of these activities are guaranteed and will vary each session. Children will be provided with all the equipment they need to complete the farm tasks. We will also provide overalls which they must wear to comply with our health and safety policy to keep both the children and animal safe.
Key Details:
Ages: 8+
What to Bring: Sturdy wellie or walking boots (they will need to wash off after the session). Weather appropriate clothing. A drink.
Duration: 90 minutes. The session starts at 13:00 and finishes at 14:30.
This session is perfect for young animal lovers who want to learn new skills, make friends and experience the joys of farm life in a safe and supportive environment. Spaces are limited to 8 per session, so book your spot today. Book all 6 sessions and receive a 10% discount!

We meet outside the Farm Shop. Please wait with your child until they are met by a member of the education team. At the end of the session, children will be escorted off site, back to the Farm shop and supervised until their parent has arrived. If adults want to visit the farm, they must pay standard admission or present a valid membership card. All activities are supervised by a trained member of staff to ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone. The ratio for this group is 1 staff member to 8 children.
