Houseboat transit licence

Allows the passage of a houseboat occupying one of the 22 designed / leased moorings in Surrey to transit off the Canal including outbound and return jouney through the controlled lock flights at St Johns and Woodham.

The licence includes provision for a powered tug belonging to towing contractor.

Houseboats and tugs must provide details of insurance and compliance with the Boat Safety Scheme.

Please remember to book your passage through the locks with the Canal Office, and show your order confirmation to the Lock Keeper.
