Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Saturday 13th June 2026
2.00pm
Join us for a special event in the library with M.A. HUNTER, the prolific author of crime and psychological thrillers. His body of work, including The Confession, The Woman on Platform 8, and The Tenants, has been likened to Freida McFadden, Lisa Jewell, and T.M. Logan. His new book The Teacher’s Pet will be published on 10 June 2026.
Hear about the inspiration for M.A. Hunter’s ideas, his creative process, and the unique life that his distinctive work emerges from. With time for questions and answers, followed by book sales and signings.
More about the author:
In 2024 he was formally diagnosed with both Autism and ADHD, and he believes the wiring of his unique mind is what allows him to write 2-3 books per year, despite a full-time job and young family. He is a vocal advocate of neurodivergent acceptance, regularly posting about the challenges of living in a neurotypical world through his social media channels and TikTok.
He hails from Darlington, grew up in London, but is now settled in Southampton with his wife and two children and is currently working on several television screenplays of his books.
