This course is about awareness of Mental Health Conditions in the Work Place. It is the initial care and support given to someone experiencing a mental health problem until professional help takes over that is really important. It’s designed to help you understand the signs and symptoms of mental health issues such as stress, anxiety & depression, as well as exploring stigma, judgment, and the bystander effect. You will learn how to effectively communicate with someone who may be experiencing mental health problems, as well as being able to sign post them to the appropriate professional services.
Important Advisory – this course is for those wishing to gain understanding of mental health issues and ways to support others experiencing poor mental health. If you are in crisis, under treatment or in therapy yourself, this course will not provide enough support for you, and could expose personal triggers throughout the program that you may wish to avoid. We will make contact pre-course to ensure suitability and your booking maybe withdrawn.
