To learn about different plants, vegetables, fruit and features that can enhance
mindfulness opportunities in your garden.
- Produce a plan for a border or area in your garden. Written or computerised
- Use a variety of plants to enhance mood, consider at least 3
- Produce a list of plants and features that will improve the layout of your garden
- State how growing vegetables and fruit can improve our well-being
- State the different types of soil and how to improve soil quality
Who is this course for: This course is open to anyone who would like to learn more about looking after their garden during the Autumn months. Learn how to improve the layout of your garden and how to use plants to aid mindfulness opportunities. During the course you will learn about plants that can enhance your mood, how to make a planting plan and improve features in your garden. You will also learn about planting fruit and vegetables and looking after the soil in your garden
Previous knowledge or experience: No experience necessary
How will I learn: Through discussion, practical activities during the lesson and at home
How will I be assessed: Through completing activities and class discussion
What shall I bring: Pencil, pencil sharpener, ruler, rubber, coloured pencils and squared/plain paper

This course is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+ Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
