Mixed Media Spring Bird’s Nest Workshop

This workshop is a great introduction to combining a variety of media. You could combine painting and drawing, collage and painting, stencilling and drawing. One size does not fit all so the creative tapas bar will be well stocked.

Learning Goals:

• Describe where you might use paint, paper or pens within your composition
• Identify which mark making tools may add visual interest
• Use a selection of different papers/processes effectively
• Apply colour to evoke spring
• Create unique and individual artwork in response to the brief
• Demonstrate an open minded approach to your creativity

About the course: Learners will create artwork inspired by the weekly theme, combining visual elements with words to express emotions and personal narratives. They will have the option to refine their pieces after each session, supporting both artistic growth and personal wellbeing

Who is this course for: Mixed media enthusiasts, anyone wishing to find out a bit more about combining processes, anyone interested in giving collage a go

Previous knowledge or experience: None needed

How will I learn: Tutor demo, practical application and within a small but supportive group

How will I be assessed: Self evaluation, tutor support, peer to peer feed back

What shall I bring: Dress for mess, some loose change for the honesty café, some acrylic paints, brushes. Your tutor will provide everything else but would politely request £5 towards materials please.

If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:

• 21 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
• 7 - 20 working days before course starts a £10 admin fee will be charged
• Less than 7 working days before the course starts no refund will be made
