Nature-Based Resilience Workshop
Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Saturday 21st February 2026
10.30am to 11.30am
Do you love nature and care about the planet? If you do, it can be overwhelming to watch the distressing news about the nature and climate crisis. Our eco-grief is valid, but our culture tells us to look away and pretend it’s not real.
And yet the very act of acknowledging the pain we feel can be the first step to finding the resilience and inner creativity, which can then help us determine the best action. It’s a process known as adversity activated development, which can help us find the inner strength and clarity.
In this workshop you will learn to embrace uncertainty, cultivate gratitude, and build inner resilience. By the end of the session, you will feel more resourced to face the challenges ahead, and you may feel more inspired to find your unique gifts to bring forward at this time.
Ages 16+
About the tutor:
Olena Waskiewicz is a nature-based facilitator, mindfulness teacher and artist. She has been running nature-connectedness workshops in workplaces, conferences and in community festivals. Outside of work, she can be found hiking, camping in the wild or swimming in the sea.
