6.30pm to 8.30pm
Participants will be required to use Zoom.
To support the continued development of your painting and drawing skills and to help you identify and achieve individual projects.
Learning Goals:
- Demonstrate, develop and improve drawing skills and knowledge on the proposed techniques
- Identify, develop and improve use of different media (colour pencils, graphite & acrylics)
- Describe the impact your creativity and invention. Learn to think outside the box
- Apply confidently the proposed media & subjects
- Create at least 2 different pieces using the knowledge acquired throughout the course
About the Course: This course an ONLINE COURSE aimed at those who have attended previous art course and wish to extend and develop their skills as well as for complete beginners. The tutor will prepare different exercises during the course (these are always optional as you might desire to develop your own individual project). For this 4 week course Fatima has created 3 quick different exercises. The proposed exercises will be based on a particular media or subject (if you want to work with a particular technique/subject different from the one proposed that is absolutely fine). During the course learners can also propose a particular technique or subject as part of the Course Scheme. You will need to bring art materials you wish to work with. Who is this course for: Learners who have some knowledge of art. But if you are a newbie you are most welcome too!
Previous Knowledge or Experience: This course is aimed at those who have attended previous art course
How will I learn: observation and demonstration. Feedback will be provided halfway through the session
How will I be assessed: The tutor will send you a few questions to get an idea of your experience with the different techniques proposed for the course before it starts. A WhatsApp group will be created for this course to enable exchange of images during the sessions. You are more than welcome to use this chat to get feedback during and between sessions. During the sessions the tutor will give feedback and share everyone’s work, this will enable you to see how other people has used the same technique and subject as you but in a completely different way which is important! You will receive continuous constructive criticism and advise during the course regarding your work, materials and artists for reference
